Science Fiction, Double Feature

When bizarre meets extraordinary...you fall in love in eternal glory.

Cult Movie Quote: The Rocky Horror Show (1975)
Riff Raff: With a bit of a mind flip...
Magenta: You're into a time slip...
Riff Raff: And nothing can ever be the same.
Magenta: You're spaced out on sensation. HAH!
Riff Raff: Like you're under sedation!
All: Let's do the time warp again!

Cult Song: Hot Patootie/From "The Rocky Horror Show" Soundtrack

What ever happened to Saturday night?
When you dressed up sharp and you felt all right?
It don't seem the same since cosmic light
Came into my life, I thought I was divine
I used to go for a ride with a chick who'd go
And listen to the music on the radio
My saxaphone was blowin' on a rock-n-roll show
You climbed in the back seat
You really had a good time

Hot Patootie, bless my soul
I really love that rock-n-roll

Love or Something Like It

Today's Mood: Save Me From Myself/Christina Aguilera
It's not so easy loving me
It gets so complicated
All the things you gotta be
Everything's changing
But you're the truth
I'm amazed by all your patience
Everything I put you through
When I'm about to fall
Somehow you're always waiting with
Your open arms to catch me
You're gonna save me from myself
From myself, yes
You're gonna save me from myself
1st Movie I remember renting: Muriel's Wedding/1994
Muriel: He said if I ever left him, he would find out who I was living with and shoot them. Then, he'd shoot me, then himself.
Rhonda: Shit, he really loved you, didn't he?

Carried Away

after a couple years avoiding commitment with Carrie, Big might give up this year and try to show her that all this time he was preparing for her. Now he's ready, and he'll get her a Big closet!!
Cult Movie: Sex & The City (2008)
Charlotte York: I always knew she'd marry Big.
Samantha Jones: You thought that after the second break up?
Miranda Hobbes: After the fifteenth?
Carrie Bradshaw: Ha ha, we broke up a lot.
Song of the Season: Jason Mraz - I'm Yours
I've been spendin' way too long checkin' my tongue in the mirror
and bendin' over backwards just to try to see it clearer
But my breath fogged up the glass
and so I drew a new face and I laughed
I guess what I'd be sayin' is there ain't no better reason
to rid yourself of vanities and just go with the seasons
it's what we aim to do our name is our virtue
But I won't hesitate no more,
no more it cannot wait
I'm yours

Perceptions

Lately I've been wondering what moves the world. Not talking about gravitation at all. I'm wondering which is our motor, our gas, what make us go on. My dad told me that sex moves the masses. He has this well explained theory on how is all about sex since the day you born. Sex indeed is a factor, it motivates, it shakes things up...but is it number one in the chart?
In my humble and mortal opinion, ignorance moves the world. It might sound pesimistic but then, not at all. The smarter you get, the more you suffer. No matter how much sex you get, if you ignore the consequences and ignore the person you are fucking and ignore the feelings involved, and ignore how much money it costed and it will cost, then you are happy.
I love sex, I adore money, I do, I do. Nevertheless, being ingnorant brings the best in me, it moves me, and makes me wanna keep on going. Being ingnorant motivates me to be smart...and that is also a moving factor, got it?

Movie Delight: Dead Poets Society (1989)
John Keating: We don't read and write poetry because it's cute. We read and write poetry because we are members of the human race. And the human race is filled with passion. And medicine, law, business, engineering, these are noble pursuits and necessary to sustain life. But poetry, beauty, romance, love, these are what we stay alive for. To quote from Whitman, "O me! O life!... of the questions of these recurring; of the endless trains of the faithless--of cities filled with the foolish; what good amid these, O me, O life? Answer. That you are here - that life exists, and identity; that the powerful play goes on and you may contribute a verse." That the powerful play goes on and you may contribute a verse. What will your verse be?
Jam of the Day: Breakdown Motel/ Mutya Buena
One day you are near but not for long
And the strangers we've become
We can't hold on to the things we love
So don't hold on
So you can fly to the moon
above to find something new
But when you're back in this atmosphere
you can't help be blue

I'm Stupid

This year's resolution #4 will be stop abusing the languange and start feeling rather than thinking. After all, we'll be 65 years old at an old fashioned cafeteria talking about how things and people made us feel, not which were our points of view. I took that from Grandma and Grandpa, such smart people !
Movie Must: The Tracey Fragments (2007)

Tracey Berkowitz: I don't like the country. Creeps me out. In the country, dead bodies live in swamps, and ditches, and shallow graves. A man dumps the body of a girl in a ditch. The body rotts; Melts into slime. Flowers pop up where the body lies, seeds fly out of the flowers, and a bee sucks the flowers and makes honey. And then the family of the girl buys the honey from the store. And the family eats the girl.

Oh, Nostalgia: Alien Ant Farm/ Movies

I want you to be free
Don't worry about me
And just like the movies
We play out our last scene
You won't cry, I won't scream
